About the Charleston Horn Camp:
The Charleston Horn Camp is an intensive day camp open to middle school through adult-age horn players.
The CHC Adult Horn Session serves adult horn players.
2022 Charleston Horn Camp
( Open to Middle School through College horn players )
Friday, June 3- Tuesday, June 7
Daily 9:00am - 3:00pm (Sunday 1:30 - 5:30pm)
Horn Camp Fee: $300 due in full by May 15, 2022 (an additional $20 fee required for the optional CHC Solo Competition.)
- Camp Fee includes a Charleston Horn Camp T-shirt, music book and pizza lunch on Tuesday
* Please pack your own lunch Friday - Monday
- Late registration or payment (after May 15, 2022) will incur a $25 late fee.
2022 CHC Solo Competition
The First Prize winner will perform on the Tuesday, June 7 camp concert.
First Prize will also receive a 2023 Charleston Horn Camp Full Scholarship.

One hour lesson with Sean Yancer (value $100)
Participants who are signed up for the solo competition may be eligible to participate on the Friday,June 3 or Saturday, June 4 Masterclass with Elizabeth Freimuth.
The solo competition is open to middle school through college-age students who are signed up for the CHC. The Solo Competition will be held Monday, June 6, during Camp hours. There is a $20 Registration fee. Participant can choose any solo from the standard repertoire for horn alone or with piano accompaniment. Examples include: a movement from any Mozart or Strauss Concerto, Saint-Saens Morceu de Concert, Fantasy for Horn by Malcolm Arnold, a solo from the Mason Jones book, Solos for the Horn Player. If you have a question, please contact us. Depending on the length of the solo, we reserve the right to make cuts for the Wednesday performance. Please provide an original copy of the accompaniment part.
