Covid Policy and Procedures
The following mandatory safety precautions will be in place for the entirety of the 2022 Charleston Horn Camp. Camp participants are required to follow safety guidelines at all times.
Students understand that they participate in the Charleston Horn Camp at their own risk and agree that the neither the Charleston Horn Camp nor the Charleston County School District shall be held responsible in the event of a COVID-19 infection.
The guidelines below are subject to change prior to the beginning of the festival based on current CDC guidance and CCSD policies.
1. Social distancing shall remain in effect for the duration of the event. During breaks, students are expected to avoid clustering together in groups. Seating will be socially distanced.
2. Students may be required to wear face masks that fully cover their nose and mouth except when playing in their assigned stations. Students should keep their masks on when they are not playing. Bell Covers will not be required.
3. Horn Condensation - Puppy training pads or a spit rag is required at all times while playing.
4. Mouthpiece buzzing is only allowed if covered with a cloth or face mask to avoid spreading aerosol droplets into the hall. The use of breathing devices that may disseminate particulates, such as incentive spirometers, is strictly prohibited.
7. Participants are not permitted to share any equipment or other items that could increase their risk for exposure to COVID-19. This includes: pencils, mouthpieces, mutes, cloths, music, etc.
